About This Role

The Shift Lead is responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash, customer service, and supervising team members in the absence of store management. This role ensures operational efficiency and a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Open and close the store, including cash handling and systems start-ups
  • Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops
  • Model and share customer service best practices with all team members
  • Engage customers and patients, resolving issues and answering questions
  • Assist with and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes
  • Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including scanning errors and price verifications
  • Assist in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics
  • Evaluate and develop displays, complete resets and revisions
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper signage for pricing
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report and bill payment
  • Ensure a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
  • Serve as a liaison between management and non-management team members communicating assigned tasks

Requirements

  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Qualifications

  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of store inventory control

Certifications

PTCB certification (if required by state) (Required)
