Shift Lead

About This Role

Serve as a Shift Lead at Walgreens, responsible for opening/closing the store, managing cash handling, and ensuring operational readiness. Deliver a distinctive customer experience and assist with various store operations, including inventory, displays, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including system start-ups and cash handling
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops
• Engage customers, resolve issues, and provide assistance with products and services
• Coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes
• Register sales on assigned cash register, including handling scanning errors and price modifications
• Assist with evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper signage is displayed
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports and bill payment
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Communicate assigned tasks to team members and report disciplinary issues or customer complaints to management

Requirements

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
