The Shift Lead is responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, assisting customers, and leading retail operations in the absence of store management.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the store, including system start-ups and cash handling
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- Engage customers, resolve issues, and answer questions
- Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics
- Evaluate and develop displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper signage is displayed
- Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports and bill payment
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
- Serve as a liaison between management and non-management team members
Requirements
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
