Shift Lead

About This Role

The Shift Lead is responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash, and ensuring the store is ready for business operations. This role models excellent customer service and assists management with inventory, displays, and team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including system start-ups, cash handling, and preparing the sales floor and stock room
• Handle product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops, and provide register change
• Model and deliver a distinctive customer experience, engaging customers and resolving issues
• Assist and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes
• Register all sales on assigned cash register, including processing scanning errors and price modifications
• Assist in reviewing order exceptions and managing reverse logistics (e.g., returns)
• Support the evaluation and development of displays, completing resets and revisions
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper basic department pricing and signage
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports and bill payments as requested
• Ensure clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance, requesting repairs as needed
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Serve as a liaison between management and non-management team members by communicating assigned tasks

Requirements

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of store inventory control
• Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state
