Lead store operations and provide exceptional customer service at Walgreens, including opening/closing the store, managing cash handling, and assisting with inventory and displays. This role involves coaching team members and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including system start-ups and cash handling
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and provide change for cash registers
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by greeting customers, offering assistance, and resolving issues
- Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary
- Assist with and coach other team members on the warehouse and vendor ordering process
- Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors and price verifications
- Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics
- Assist manager or assistant store manager in evaluating and developing displays (promotional, seasonal, super structures, sale merchandise), and complete resets and revisions
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and the accuracy of on-hand quantities across departments and stockroom
- Assist with ensuring the Outdate program is followed with team members
- Responsible for basic department pricing, making daily price changes, and ensuring proper signage
- Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance
- Assist with separation of food items and product placement, and assist in stock rotation
- Serve as a liaison between management and non-management team members, communicating assigned tasks when management is not present
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management
Requirements
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
Qualifications
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of store inventory control
- Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state
