About This Role

As a Shift Lead, you will be responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, and ensuring operational readiness. You will also provide a delightful customer experience and assist with various store operations, including inventory and display management.

Responsibilities

  • Open and close the store, including system start-ups and cash handling
  • Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and provide cash register change
  • Engage customers and patients, resolving issues and answering questions
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members
  • Assist with and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes
  • Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including error records and price verifications
  • Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics
  • Assist manager or assistant store manager in evaluating and developing displays
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and on-hand quantities
  • Assist with ensuring the Outdate program is followed
  • Responsible for basic department pricing and making daily price changes
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, and bill payment
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring clean and neat store condition
  • Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
  • Serve as a liaison between management and non-management team members
  • Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management

Requirements

  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Qualifications

  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of store inventory control
