Shift Lead

About This Role

As a Shift Lead, you will manage store operations in the absence of management, ensuring efficient daily functions, cash handling, and an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including system startups and cash handling, when management is absent
• Prepare the sales floor and stock room for the business day
• Process product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops
• Engage customers, offer assistance, and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members
• Work with and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes
• Accurately register all sales on the cash register and record related errors or modifications
• Assist with reviewing order exceptions and managing reverse logistics
• Evaluate and develop displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise
• Maintain accurate inventory counts for all departments and locations
• Ensure compliance with the Outdate program and perform daily price changes and proper signage display
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports and bill payments
• Ensure exterior and interior store cleanliness and appearance, requesting repairs as needed
• Assist at the Pharmacy out window as requested
• Ensure compliance with laws regarding regulated products and conduct bag checks of team members

Requirements

• 1 year of leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of store inventory control
