About This Role

Lead store operations and provide exceptional customer service at Walgreens by opening and closing the store, handling cash, managing inventory, and assisting with team member training.

Responsibilities

  • Open and close the store, including initiating systems, handling cash, and preparing the store for business.
  • Process product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops, and provide change for cash registers.
  • Engage customers and patients, offering assistance and resolving issues to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Coach team members on customer service best practices and Walgreens service traits.
  • Assist with warehouse and vendor ordering processes and open the backdoor for vendor deliveries.
  • Register all sales on assigned cash register, including managing scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
  • Assist in reviewing order exceptions and managing reverse logistics (returns, empty packages).
  • Evaluate and develop product displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise, and complete resets and revisions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts, including basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
  • Ensure the Outdate program is followed with team members and handle daily pricing changes and proper signage.
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payments.
  • Ensure exterior and interior store cleanliness and appearance, requesting repairs as needed.
  • Assist with separation of food items and product placement, and implement first-in, first-out stock rotation.
  • Assist at the Pharmacy out window as requested and ensure compliance with regulated product laws.
  • Conduct bag checks of team members and communicate assigned tasks to team members in management's absence.
  • Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

Requirements

  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Qualifications

  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
