Shift Lead

About This Role

Lead store operations and provide a positive customer experience, including opening/closing the store, managing cash handling, and ensuring proper product display and inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including system start-ups and cash handling
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops
• Engage customers, resolve issues, and offer assistance with products and services
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members
• Assist with warehouse and vendor ordering processes
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including error records and price verifications
• Assist in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics
• Evaluate and develop displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and on-hand quantities
• Ensure compliance with the Outdate program for team members
• Manage basic department pricing and daily price changes, ensuring proper signage
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment
• Ensure clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance, including requesting repairs
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement according to policies (e.g., first in, first out method)
• Utilize working knowledge of store systems and equipment
• Assist at Pharmacy out window as requested
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
• Conduct bag checks of team members before leaving the store
• Communicate assigned tasks to team members when store management is not present
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management

Requirements

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
