Shift Lead

About This Role

The Shift Lead is responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, overseeing product returns and voids, and delivering exceptional customer service while guiding other team members.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including system start-ups and cash handling procedures
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops
• Provide change to cash registers as requested
• Engage customers, offer assistance, resolve issues, and answer questions
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members
• Assist and coach team members with warehouse and vendor ordering processes
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including error records and price modifications
• Assist in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional and seasonal merchandise
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper signage for pricing
• Assist with bookkeeping activities including cash reports and ledgers
• Liaise between management and non-management team members by communicating assigned tasks

Requirements

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.

• Knowledge of store inventory control
