Shift Lead

About This Role

The Shift Lead at Walgreens is responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, assisting with inventory, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This role supports store management in daily operations and team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including system start-ups and cash handling
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Model and coach customer service best practices to team members
• Assist with warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including receiving deliveries
• Operate the cash register accurately, including scanning, price verifications, and voids
• Review order exceptions and assist in reverse logistics
• Evaluate and develop merchandising displays, including promotional and seasonal items
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper signage for pricing
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports and bill payments
• Ensure exterior and interior maintenance of the store and request repairs as needed
• Comply with company policies and procedures, including regulated product sales and bag checks

Requirements

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
