About This Role

The Shift Lead is responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, and ensuring operational readiness. This role also involves delivering excellent customer service and coaching team members on best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Open and close the store, including system start-ups and cash handling
  • Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops
  • Engage customers, resolve issues, and ensure a positive customer experience
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members
  • Assist and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes
  • Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including error records and price verifications
  • Assist management in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics
  • Evaluate and develop displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and daily price changes
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports and bill payment
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products
  • Serve as liaison between management and non-management team members

Requirements

  • 1+ year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

Qualifications

  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of store inventory control
