Senior Tax Manager

About This Role

This Senior Tax Manager role involves overseeing tax compliance and planning, managing a team of tax professionals, and ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting for the organization. Key responsibilities include leading compliance processes, developing tax strategies, and providing advisory services, especially for real estate transactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the tax compliance process, ensuring timely and accurate filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, including S-Corp (1120s), C-Corp (1120), Partnership (1065) and Individual (104) returns
• Develop and implement tax strategies that minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations
• Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support in their professional development
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure proper tax accounting and reporting in financial statements
• Stay current on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization
• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to management and other departments, particularly in real estate transactions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience with a focus on real estate and professional services taxation
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience with a focus on real estate and professional services taxation
