Senior Meat Cutter

About This Role

Drive sales in the meat department by ensuring product availability and quality, processing meat according to specifications, and educating other associates on tools and resources. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and inventory management to meet member expectations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources
• Communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service
• Track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of various types and seasonality of different meat products
• Process meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping)
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management
• Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment
• Leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience
• Plan for profitability and maintain a work area according to company policies and procedures
• Assist members with purchasing decisions and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored

Requirements

• 6 months' experience working in a fresh production department
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Qualifications

• 6 months' experience working in a fresh production department.
