Security Specialist

About This Role

Serve as an unarmed Security Officer, providing excellent customer service, patrolling the premises, and ensuring the safety and security of a global manufacturer's headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service when interacting with employees, visitors, and co-workers
• Drive the security vehicle around the site, patrolling parking lots and building exteriors
• Walk the interior and exterior of various office buildings on site, looking for security, safety, and maintenance issues
• Report for shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform
• Balance outstanding customer service with maintaining client policies and enforcing rules
• Read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures, and complete all tasks during the shift
• Use de-escalation techniques to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• Must have military, security, or law enforcement experience
• Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must not have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter
• Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image
• Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record (less than 3 moving violations in 3 years, less than 2 at-fault accidents in 3 years, no other major violations in 3 years)
• Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior military, security, or law enforcement experience required.
