Security Specialist - Access Control

About This Role

This role is for an unarmed Security Officer at a multi-warehouse distribution center, focusing on access control, patrolling, and monitoring CCTV systems. The position involves checking in and out semi-truck deliveries and ensuring employee health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery access control by checking in/out semi-truck deliveries at the Guard House using computer software
• Patrol the interior and exterior of buildings, identifying security, safety, or maintenance issues
• Conduct mobile patrols around the site using a security vehicle, covering parking lots and building exteriors
• Oversee warehouse access control by ensuring client employees complete COVID health screenings and providing next steps
• Follow procedures for dispatching personnel for emergency and non-emergency responses
• Utilize computer-aided software and monitor CCTV system accurately and quickly using recording devices

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Must pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter
• Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record (less than 3 moving violations, less than 2 at-fault accidents, no other major violations in the last 3 years)
• Ability to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances and stairs
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to readily respond to emergency situations
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
