Serve as a professional Security Flex Officer, ensuring the safety and security of client properties by performing diverse security duties across various locations. Maintain a professional demeanor, observe and report suspicious activities, and assist in emergencies to provide a safe and secure environment for clients and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Assist client staff, visitors, and coworkers while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
- Observe and report any suspicious activities and incidents
- Maintain a professional appearance and stand guard in and around building lobbies, reception areas, and control centers
- Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas
- Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas and follow proper access control procedures
- Enforce policies and procedures of assigned locations and report safety concerns
- Assist in emergencies, including administering CPR/First Aid/AED care and communicating with emergency personnel
- Maintain professional communication with client staff, fulfill client requests, and update site supervisors on all client communications
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a drug screening (including for marijuana)
- No felony convictions (per MCL 338.1060 10(1)(c))
- No misdemeanor convictions related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances (including marijuana), or two or more alcohol-related offenses (per MCL 338.1060 10(1)(c))
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for 8-12 hours at a time, including stairs
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Ability to see clearly at least 20 feet away (assisted if necessary)
- Ability to hear conversations in loud environments (in-person or via radio)
- Ability to use a smart mobile phone or computer for emails and online training
- Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
- Clean driving record
- Valid driver license
- Personal vehicle
- Willingness to become CPR, First Aid, and AED certified
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education certification, such as a GED
