About This Role

This remote Seasonal Tax Associate role involves preparing federal and state individual 1040 tax returns for customers, utilizing commercial tax preparation software and government resources. The position requires strong customer service skills for video and audio interactions with clients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner
• Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language
• Interact with customers via video communication software and document interactions to maintain accurate records
• Interact with customers and team members in a professional manner

Requirements

• Active PTIN
• 2+ years of paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns using commercial tax preparation software
• Possess or be able to obtain any related State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
• Internet connection that meets Security criteria
• Available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns
