About This Role

Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of production machines, machine parts, and assigned areas in a food manufacturing plant. Follow safety protocols, dismantle and reassemble equipment, and maintain a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe chemical handling procedures
• Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program
• Comply with chemical labeling guidelines
• Safely clean the production facility and equipment
• Support co-workers in a 'Team Member' environment
• Verify assigned area is ready for Sanitation procedures
• Dismantle, clean, and reassemble assigned production equipment per SSOP
• Identify and report equipment opportunities, reassemble, and test machines
• Follow proper sanitation steps to clean and sanitize areas of responsibility
• Inspect all equipment after cleaning
• Verify assigned area is ready for production after sanitation is complete
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and understand English is preferred.
• Basic arithmetic skills.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience as a sanitation worker in a food plant environment is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience as a sanitation worker in a food plant environment
• High school education or equivalent
• OSHA knowledge
• Spanish Speaking is preferred.
