About This Role

Ensure production machines, machine parts, and assigned areas are cleaned and sanitized according to established procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment within a food manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safe chemical handling procedures
  • Adhere to LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) program guidelines
  • Comply with chemical labeling guidelines
  • Safely clean the production facility and equipment
  • Collaborate with co-workers and support a "Team Member" environment
  • Verify assigned areas are ready for Sanitation processes
  • Dismantle, clean, and reassemble production equipment as needed per SSOP (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures)
  • Identify and report equipment opportunities, reassemble, and test machines
  • Execute proper sanitation steps, cleaning and sanitizing areas of responsibility
  • Inspect all equipment after cleaning is completed
  • Verify assigned areas are ready for production after sanitation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area

Nice to Have

  • Experience as a sanitation worker in a food plant environment
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Spanish speaking
