Sales Floor Associate

About This Role

As a Sales Floor Associate, you will contribute to delivering an outstanding customer experience through direct customer service, maintaining merchandise presentation, and supporting inventory processes on the sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, delivering outstanding customer service
• Partner with other team members when additional support is needed
• Actively listen to customer issues to resolve problems calmly
• Follow placement directions to effectively place set merchandise statements
• Contribute to merchandise receipt and reverse logistics processes
• Assist with the execution of inventory processes
• Contribute to the Shoe on Display restocking process, including mismates and stockroom organization
• Contribute to the restock program to identify replenishment opportunities
• Assist with the SET processes by planning floor moves, placing graphics, and executing visual detailing
• Identify sell-through opportunities and remerchandise the selling floor to increase rate of sale
• Help oversee and maintain all fitting room and sales floor recovery processes
• Contribute to the execution of visual elements to support merchandising statements
• Responsible for stockroom maintenance
• Assist with jcp.com processes including online orders and aged/undelivered orders/returns
• Contribute to Buy Online Pick Up In Store and Ship from Store processes as needed
• Contribute to Merchandise Transfer Out (MTO), Return to Vendor and Return to Warehouse activities
• Assist with the Defective process execution to ensure integrity of inventory and prevent shrink
• Support company shrink and safety initiatives
• Consistently meet established performance standards for product and service sales, customer service, profit, productivity, and attendance

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail experience
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions that drive sales, profit or customer service
• Ability to execute work efficiently and effectively
• Ability to provide great customer service
• Ability to cooperate and build positive, inclusive and respectful relationships
