Sales Floor Assistant

About This Role

This role drives profitable sales growth by delivering outstanding customer service, leading and engaging associates, managing merchandise standards, and training the team. You will be responsible for executing sales-building programs and inventory processes.

Responsibilities

• Model and hold team accountable for delivering outstanding customer service
• Actively listen to customer issues to resolve problems and partner with team members for additional support
• Plan and execute merchandise placement based on company guidance
• Contribute to merchandise receipt and reverse logistics processes
• Assist with the execution of inventory processes (cycle counts, system uploads, stock ledger, RFID Scans)
• Contribute to the restock program to identify replenishment opportunities
• Assist with SET processes by planning floor moves, placing graphics, and executing visual detailing
• Identify sell-through opportunities and remerchandise the selling floor to increase rate of sale
• Oversee and maintain all fitting room and sales floor recovery processes for a clean and organized store environment
• Contribute to the execution of visual elements and maintain stockroom
• Assist with jcp.com processes including orders, aged/undelivered orders/returns, Buy Online Pick Up In Store, and Ship from Store
• Contribute to Merchandise Transfer Out (MTO), Return to Vendor, Return to Warehouse activities, and Defective MTO (DMTO) process
• Participate in annual inventory processes
• Support company shrink and safety initiatives and consistently meet performance standards
