About This Role

Lead international business development for the company, focusing on expanding presence in the US pet market by identifying and securing new business opportunities with key retailers. Manage the entire sales cycle from market intelligence to client retention and complaint resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Gather comprehensive market information for target markets, including customer, supplier, and product details
  • Analyze market size, growth rates, trends, and consumer demand to formulate product portfolios, pricing strategies, and marketing activities
  • Develop new clients within the region, leveraging online platforms and trade shows
  • Maintain updated client profiles, including background, product series, pricing, samples, visit records, meeting notes, and client preferences
  • Handle sales orders, confirm order details with clients, track production progress, and ensure timely delivery and payment collection
  • Collect and organize internal and external data to analyze and produce routine and phased reports, identifying business pain points
  • Regularly prepare and dispatch samples, accurately convey client demands, and arrange client visits or trade show communications
  • Solidify existing product orders and secure new product orders to meet performance goals
  • Handle customer complaints by transferring them to the quality control center, and reviewing, translating, and sending reports to clients
  • Maintain and operate client systems, managing product, layout, and packaging information, sustainability statistics, and export documents

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development
  • Proven track record in the pet industry
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel domestically as needed
  • Ability to analyze data and use insights to drive business decisions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, with a proven track record in the pet industry
