About This Role

Generate sales and build client relationships in Connecticut and surrounding areas, focusing on interior products such as wallcoverings, architectural panel systems, and flooring. Develop strong product presentation skills and maintain client profiles using the company's CRM system.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with potential and existing clients by understanding their business needs and offering tailored solutions
  • Conduct product demonstrations or presentations, highlighting features and benefits that meet client requirements
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities and client interactions in the company CRM system
  • Consistently follow up with leads, providing timely responses to inquiries and concerns
  • Engage in consultative selling by asking questions and actively listening to understand customer needs
  • Develop customized proposals and quotes that align with client needs and company offerings
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, educating clients on how products/services can add value to their business
  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market changes to identify new business opportunities
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the company’s products/services, including key features, benefits, and competitive positioning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective sales strategies that drive business growth
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, or conferences to network and promote the company’s products/services

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Business, Marketing, or Sales
  • 1-3 years of experience in a sales role, preferably in interior decorative or protective products
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools
  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
