Sales Consultant

About This Role

Assist customers in selecting furniture and creating inviting home spaces, while consistently meeting sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service from customer contact through delivery and beyond
• Demonstrate professional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Connect and establish relationships with diverse customers
• Build relationships with customers both independently and in collaboration with Interior Design Consultants
• Reinforce customer selections and assist in completing the look of their rooms
• Provide product, service, and finance expertise based on customer needs
• Utilize company-provided tablets and proprietary technology for customer communication
• Engage with clients by entering information into Havertys' CRM system and provide professional follow-up
• Maintain knowledge of a broad range of furniture styles and products

Requirements

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple customer communications simultaneously
• Positive and engaging personality
• Creative flair and energetic attitude
• Proficient in resolving customer objections and ensuring satisfaction
• Computer proficiency including email experience
• High School / GED or equivalent

Qualifications

• High School / GED or equivalent required; College education preferred
• Relevant experience preferred but not required. 1-3 years of retail experience preferably in a commissioned sales position.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with a broad range of furniture styles and products
• Knowledge and use of MS Office software
• Tablet/iPad operation abilities
• College education
