Retail Sales Worker Lead

About This Role

The Retail Sales Lead Worker coordinates store operations by supporting and training utility workers and cashiers, ensuring superior guest service. This role assigns daily tasks, resolves customer issues, and maintains a professional atmosphere in the absence of management.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Sales Associate and General Utility Worker duties
• Hold pre-shift meetings to ensure team awareness of daily tasks, VIPs, safety, and operational information
• Act as a concierge resource for guests, providing knowledge about surrounding areas
• Greet all guests upon entry to the store
• Train Sales Associates and General Utility Workers to develop a customer service-focused team
• Ensure smooth operations and effective handling of customer relations issues in the manager's absence
• Respond directly to and resolve efficiently all customer complaints in a professional manner
• Keep an inventory of stock, noting out-of-stock items or possible shortages
• Order merchandise and other items in appropriate quantities from warehouse and vendors
• Collect and compile daily cash and sales data from all outlets using Microsoft Excel and POS/PMS software
• Lead nightly close out and balance cash with daily sales at the end of the shift
• Assist management in scheduling employees according to labor budgets and assigning work tasks
• May assist with hiring General Utility Workers and Sales Associates
• May coordinate, correct, supervise, and submit departmental payroll

Requirements

• Mathematical skills for sales reports and audits
• Must be of legal age to work with alcohol
• Fluent in the native language, both spoken and written
• Computer literate in MS Office programs

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience preferred
