Food Prep Worker Lead

About This Role

This role involves assisting cooks, chefs, or food service managers by preparing ingredients for recipes and performing various food preparation and service tasks, ensuring adherence to food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures. The Food Prep Worker Lead will also coordinate the work of others.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the work of others
• Prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
• Accurately store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
• Ensure security of company assets

Requirements

• Ability to acquire food safety certification
• Basic math and counting skills
• Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in food prep or food service-related work preferred

• Demonstrated expertise in food prep or food service-related work
• Knowledge of various food prep methods, accurate knife handling, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
