Retail Sales Support

About This Role

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you will contribute to a welcoming and inclusive store atmosphere and ensure a quick and easy customer experience. You will collaborate with teammates to maintain store cleanliness and assist customers in finding great deals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the salesfloor stays "runway ready" through re-merchandising and straightening
• Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, including operating a point-of-sale system and handling items
• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting/returning clothing
• Keep stockrooms organized, ensuring merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
• Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
• Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program
• Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
• Prepare and ship customer’s orders following quality, packing and shipping standards
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments.

Requirements

• Organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
• Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift, including bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
• Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting above the head
• Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
• For Stock and Fulfillment only: Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
