Designated Selling Associate

About This Role

Serve as a Designated Selling Associate at Nordstrom, driving sales for the Nike brand in Women's Activewear by providing exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and merchandising expertise.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using effective selling tools and reservations
• Build lasting relationships with customers
• Provide excellent service to customers, potentially in different departments or brands when needed
• Offer honest and confident feedback to customers on style, fit, and value for their wardrobe
• Seek fashion and product knowledge through meetings and trainings to build expertise
• Build relationships with other DSAs, Stylists, and surrounding departments through product knowledge meetings
• Provide valid product feedback to District Manager to improve store assortment
• Drive predictable business through appointment-based selling during event and non-event timeframes
• Collaborate with the team to maintain a customer-ready department, including stocking, re-merchandising, display, price markdowns, merchandise transfers, and cleaning
• Grow sales by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts

• Ability to read sales reporting in relation to goals
• Understanding of how to educate customers on new/emerging brands and suggest items
• Confidence with high/low price points and ability to showcase value
• Strong understanding of customer's holistic wardrobe and style, with high organization for follow-up and advice
• Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift (bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching)
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
• Ability to handle bulky/awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting above head
• Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
