Restaurant General Manager

About This Role

Lead and guide a Zaxby's team to cultivate a positive culture and ensure high morale, while executing action plans and overseeing daily restaurant operations to drive sales and control costs.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and leadership to the team to create a positive culture and maintain high morale
• Execute and assist in the development of action plans according to company goals and objectives
• Manage and oversee daily restaurant operations focusing on staffing, team member development, sales growth, and cost management
• Ensure consistent upholding of guest experience and brand standards
• Complete all required training, including Zaxbys General Manager Development Plan and Operations Excellence Capstone Class, Food Safety Certification, and Manager Certification
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels by sourcing, interviewing, hiring, retaining, and recognizing top performers
• Ensure team members receive proper training, mentoring, coaching, and development, and uphold accountability for performance
• Create effective work schedules to drive sales and control labor costs
• Manage profitability through driving sales, controlling costs, developing team members, and ensuring operational standards
• Strive to increase sales by building community relationships and providing outstanding product and service

Requirements

• 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
• Open availability and ability to work a minimum of 5 days and 48 hours per week
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Successful completion of background check and motor vehicle report
• Leadership qualities
• Organizational skills
• Ability to interact cooperatively with others
• 3-5 years management experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and some college preferred
• 3-5 years management experience required, restaurant management preferred
