About This Role

This role administers day-to-day operations for Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs, providing primary administrative support and ensuring compliance with national accreditation standards. The administrator will work collaboratively with stakeholders to enhance resident education initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Administer smaller, less complex aspects of GME programs' day-to-day operations with guidance and oversight
  • Provide primary administrative support to GME Residency/Fellowship program(s)
  • Maintain confidentiality and achieve working knowledge of national accreditation standards and hospital regulations
  • Identify and execute process improvements for areas of responsibility and participate in process improvement projects
  • Assist with the progression of individual residents/fellows, ensuring adherence to ACGME requirements and maintaining electronic files for compliance
  • Manage data related to Residents and Fellows programs, including system administration, schedule creation, and evaluation management
  • Manage and coordinate Residency/Fellow Education, collaborating across URMC and external entities
  • Provide administrative support for program recruitment, including consolidating information, scheduling interviews, and orientation
  • Provide general administrative support for daily office functions, coordinating meetings and preparing agendas
  • Support social media needs of the program, drafting website content and managing social media presence

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years relevant experience or equivalent
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong technical skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with people across diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
  • Proficiency with virtual collaboration tools
  • Proficiency with Adobe
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple competing demands and adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions independently
  • Ability to take initiative and be resourceful

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
