About This Role

Manage and evaluate patient needs for a healthcare clinic in an inpatient and out-patient setting. This role involves administering medications, coordinating patient care, and providing patient and family education.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patient needs
• Plan patient care utilizing physician protocol and professional judgment
• Notify physicians of patients’ status based on urgency
• Identify and evaluate patient needs by way of telephone triage
• Administer medications, including injections and IV’s
• Document medications given or prescribed by ordering physician
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations as appropriate
• Assist with hospital procedures and/or surgeries and coordinate scheduling surgical procedures
• Identify patient and family education needs and provide instruction
• Practice nursing skills in accordance with licensure and Clinic P+P

Requirements

• Currently licensed with the state of Florida
• At least one year of comprehensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Active BLS certification

Qualifications

• One or more years of comprehensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings
