Local Contract Registered Nurse - Correctional

About This Role

Provide comprehensive nursing care according to established guidelines and procedures for individuals in a correctional facility setting, including health assessments, care plan implementation, and execution of medical regimens.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health assessments
• Prepare and implement nursing care plans
• Diagnose and treat individuals' responses to actual, potential, or diagnosed health problems
• Execute medical regimens prescribed by licensed health care providers
• Serve as members of interdisciplinary health care teams and health-related committees
• Coordinate, direct, and provide nursing care to individuals
• Administer treatments and nursing procedures within established guidelines
• Maintain infection control standards
• Participate in staff training, prepare clinical and administrative reports
• Assure the safety, physical comfort, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient are met

Requirements

• Currently a Registered Nurse in New York State
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID 19 and comply with any testing and future vaccine mandates
