As a Registered Nurse at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You will collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to departmental/hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Administer, oversee, and document medication administration per orders and policy
- Assess patient physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral, developmental, and spiritual needs
- Implement appropriate patient interventions and evaluate outcomes
- Plan care based on initial and ongoing assessments
- Provide holistic, comprehensive, and professional nursing care within the scope of practice
- Prepare patients for discharge and assist with coordinating post-discharge needs
- Demonstrate proper use of communication tools for effective communication and cultural competence
- Document care delivered and patient status using nursing process and FHS standards
- Receive and assure appropriateness, accuracy, timeliness, and execution of physician orders
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare BLS Certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or within six months of hire
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Entry level
Nice to Have
- Bachelors Of Science Nursing and One year of related work experience in an acute care setting
- Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump experience
- Critical RN Adult/Neonatal/Pediatric/Acute
