About This Role

Provide primary care to complex internal medicine patients requiring telemetry monitoring on a 32-bed unit at a leading academic health system. Nurses utilize the nursing process and embrace dynamic practices like bedside report and hourly rounding.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide primary care to complex internal medicine patients
• Administer telemetry monitoring for patients on the 7A unit
• Directly supervise unlicensed personnel
• Engage in bedside report, geographical nursing, and hourly rounding practices

Requirements

• Current Michigan RN license (or pass NCLEX within 45 days for GNs)

Nice to Have

• BSN preferred
• 6 months of RN experience (inpatient preferred)
• Telemetry experience
• 3-5 years experience with adult internal medicine/MFH patients
• Demonstrated experience in leadership roles (charge nurse and/or preceptor)
• Demonstrated positive, effective professional communication skills
• Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills
