Provide primary care to complex internal medicine patients requiring telemetry monitoring on a 32-bed unit at a leading academic health system. Nurses utilize the nursing process and embrace dynamic practices like bedside report and hourly rounding.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to provide primary care to complex internal medicine patients
- Administer telemetry monitoring for patients on the 7A unit
- Directly supervise unlicensed personnel
- Engage in bedside report, geographical nursing, and hourly rounding practices
Requirements
- Current Michigan RN license (or pass NCLEX within 45 days for GNs)
Nice to Have
- BSN preferred
- 6 months of RN experience (inpatient preferred)
- Telemetry experience
- 3-5 years experience with adult internal medicine/MFH patients
- Demonstrated experience in leadership roles (charge nurse and/or preceptor)
- Demonstrated positive, effective professional communication skills
- Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills
