About This Role

Provide comprehensive acute care to patients with benign and malignant disorders of the hematopoietic system within a university hospital oncology unit. Deliver patient care while focusing on the specialty of Oncology and receiving chemotherapy training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care for patients with benign and malignant disorders of the hematopoietic system such as Leukemia, Blood Disorders, Multiple Myeloma, and Myeloproliferative Disorders
  • Receive hospital-based chemotherapy training and chemotherapy administration competency checkoffs
  • Attend a Chemotherapy Course developed in partnership with other National Cancer Institutions
  • Attend an Oncology Overview Course

Requirements

  • Current Michigan RN license
  • Successfully pass NCLEX for Michigan RN licensure within 45 days (for Graduate Nurses)

  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, communication, delegation skills, and problem-solving skills
