Registered Nurse

About This Role

This role involves performing registered nursing duties of average difficulty, providing comprehensive nursing care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and procedures according to physician orders and nursing protocol, including administering medication and evaluating side effects.
• Maintain healthcare equipment and supplies, track drugs and instruments, perform basic life support, and participate in emergency responses.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, collecting health history data and conducting diagnostic tests on specimens.
• Compare assessment data to established ranges to identify abnormalities and determine the effectiveness of patient goals and interventions.
• Document, complete, and maintain patient health and medication records, making adjustments to the plan of care as needed.
• Explain tests, procedures, and results to appropriate individuals, communicating with internal and external entities.
• Educate patients, families, individuals, and groups on health care plans.

Requirements

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or holds a privilege to practice in the State of Tennessee under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
