Manage patient care, administer medications, and educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention within established guidelines. Document all interactions and progress.
Responsibilities
- Effectively manage the care of assigned patients using knowledge, skills, judgment, and decision-making skills for the specific area and patient population
- Deliver patient care utilizing standardized evidenced based guidelines of care and appropriate resources, including personnel, services, supplies and equipment
- Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior, administer medications and document all encounters and progress notes
- Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
- Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
- Educate care plans, provide emotional support and advise to patients and their family members
Requirements
- Good standing RN License for the state of Georgia without limitations
- BLS and ALS/ACLS Certified
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
