Registered Nurse

About This Role

Provide general nursing care to patients by administering medications, preparing equipment, observing patient conditions, and assisting physicians. This role involves working 12-hour day shifts, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care to patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during treatments and examinations
• Observe patient, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisor or physician of patient's condition
• Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess patient condition
• May make beds, bathe, and feed patients
• May serve as leader for a group of personnel rendering nursing care
• Perform additional RN duties given by a supervisor

Requirements

• At least one year (12 months) of experience as a Registered Nurse
• A valid and current RN license issued by the state of North Carolina
• A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
• Proficiency in the English language for communication with staff and patients

Qualifications

• At least one year (12 months) of experience as a Registered Nurse
