About This Role

This temporary Registered Nurse (RN) position involves providing essential medical care to students, promoting wellness, and supporting a healthy campus community at the Oneonta Job Corps Academy. The role focuses on direct nursing care, health assessments, medication administration, and health education for young adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students in accordance with established protocols
• Perform health assessments, administer medications, and maintain accurate health records
• Respond to medical concerns and emergencies promptly and appropriately
• Educate students on health, wellness, and preventative care practices
• Collaborate with other staff to support the overall well-being of the student population

Requirements

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• CPR/BLS certification

Nice to Have

• Experience working with young adults, adolescents, or in a school/college health setting
• Strong communication and organizational skills
