About This Role

This Registered Nurse (RN) position in Urology involves providing evidence-based nursing care within a non-acute setting, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring holistic, patient-centered care. The role focuses on meeting the diverse physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within a non-acute setting in collaboration with the inter-disciplinary team and provider
• Coordinate and provide holistic patient centered care
• Utilize evidence-based practice in accordance with department and/or medical group policies and procedures
• Incorporate the art, advocacy, science and ethics in nursing effectively in daily practice
• Demonstrate and actively support research utilization through inquiring into evidence-based practices
• Evaluate and review the plan of care with the interdisciplinary team to meet diverse patient and family needs
• Identify and reliably document problems and expected outcomes based on a plan of care for a varied population of patients

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate’s degree in Nursing
• One year of experience with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience as a licensed registered nurse
• Registered Nurse, State of CT license
• Certified BLS Provider (AHA)

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing; BSN, preferred
• One year of experience with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience as a licensed registered nurse
