Registered Nurse - Pre-Admission

About This Role

Provide holistic, quality, and cost-effective nursing care for patients in the pre-hospitalization population at Hartford Hospital. This role involves pre-screening calls, chart reviews, risk identification, and collaborating with providers for testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, quality and cost-effective nursing care for patients/families and/or others in the pre-hospitalization population
• Focus on discharge planning including identification of risk factors and education
• Apply the nursing process within the context of the organization's Framework for Professional Practice
• Function as clinically competent/expert
• Delegate and supervise work appropriately
• Complete Pre-Screening Calls
• Complete preoperative chart reviews in Epic
• Accurately obtain, assess, and identify potential risks and barriers to expected outcomes
• Provide patient care in partnership with a provider; including phlebotomy, EKG, and other preoperative testing as ordered

Requirements

• CT RN License
• BSN Required
• 1 year RN experience
