About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in OR General Surgery utilizes evidence-based practices to develop patient-centered care plans in a collaborative environment. This role focuses on meeting the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Utilize evidence based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and medical staff directives
• Develop a plan of care using the nursing process to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family

Requirements

• RN license in Connecticut
• BSN
• Knowledge of regulatory standards
• Five years surgical nursing experience

Qualifications

• BSN required
• Five years surgical nursing experience required, preferably focusing on the management of complex surgical patients

Nice to Have

• Leadership experience
