Registered Nurse

About This Role

The Nurse at Monte Nido Rosewood evaluates, monitors, plans, administers, and directly delivers patient-care services in coordination with attending providers, maintaining patient records and supporting individualized care plans for individuals with eating disorders.

Responsibilities

• Initiate the admission process by obtaining provider orders and completing initial nursing assessments within 24 hours, including medical intake.
• Perform vital sign monitoring, orthostatic vitals, and blind weights as ordered; conduct patient assessments and document findings.
• Monitor and document patient progress or regression according to established policies and procedures.
• Assist providers in facilitating weekly patient consultations.
• Educate and support patients in developing skills for safe self-administration of medications post-discharge.
• Ensure accurate placement of medications in the designated medication box and update medication administration records (MAR).
• Support patients in obtaining medications from the pharmacy, including facilitating initial medication orders.
• Coordinate and facilitate the collection of laboratory specimens, ensure timely receipt of results, and communicate findings to the medical team.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medication actions, side effects, and contraindications.
• Collect and record data comprehensively, accurately, and systematically.
• Maintain updated patient records in the electronic system.
• Support a therapeutic milieu by monitoring patient behaviors and collaborating with the treatment team.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Valid Nursing licensure
• CPR/First Aid certification

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Entry level with a minimum of one year experience preferred.
