About This Role

Provide acute and moderate care to adult surgical patients in a 48-bed unit, focusing on postoperative care for major reconstructive, microvascular, neurosurgical, Otolaryngology, Oral Maxillofacial, and Vascular services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide acute and moderate care to adult surgical patients on a 48-bed unit
  • Administer postoperative care after major reconstructive and microvascular procedures
  • Care for neurosurgical procedures and conditions
  • Manage Otolaryngology, Oral Maxillofacial, Neuro/Ortho surgical, and Vascular services patients
  • Care for patients who have undergone total Laryngectomy, tracheostomy, glossectomy, and other Head and Neck Cancer procedures
  • Provide care for Vascular, TAVR, and Carotid Endarterectomy patients
  • Float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census if required

Requirements

  • Current Michigan RN license (or successfully pass NCLEX within 45 days for Graduate Nurses)
  • Attach a complete and accurate resume

Nice to Have

  • BSN preferred
  • One (1) year telemetry experience
  • Experience and comfort with tracheostomies and suctioning
