Provide primary care to a complex medicine patient population on a 32-bed telemetry and general medicine unit. Utilize the nursing process and standards of nursing care while directly supervising unlicensed personnel.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to provide primary care to complex medicine patients
- Directly supervise unlicensed personnel
- Utilize bedside report, geographical nursing, and hourly rounding as standards of nursing care
Requirements
- Current Michigan RN license (for NCLEX passers)
- Pass NCLEX for Michigan RN licensure within 45 days (for GN applicants)
Nice to Have
- BSN
- 6 months of RN experience (inpatient preferred)
- Telemetry experience
- 3-5 years experience with adult internal medicine/MFH patients
- Demonstrated experience in leadership roles, charge nurse and /or preceptor
- Demonstrated positive, effective professional communication skills
- Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills
