Registered Nurse Manager - General Internal Medicine and Primary Care

About This Role

Lead clinical operations across four primary care locations in an academic outpatient setting. This role focuses on strategic leadership, team development, operational excellence, and fostering a high-performance environment for a multidisciplinary team of nursing professionals.

Responsibilities

• Administer an assigned nursing program or organizational unit by planning, selecting, and devising methods and policies/procedures
• Direct nursing supervisors and other personnel to accomplish designated goals
• Negotiate interdepartmental resources and plan with managers to ensure effective service levels
• Plan adequate staffing and adjust based on patient needs and staff skill mix
• Evaluate performance of staff members, including coaching and performance management
• Manage the hiring process for the team
• Maintain and support evidence-based practices in the clinical area, ensuring compliance with national standards like National Patient Safety Goals and The Joint Commission
• Develop the budget for personnel and non-personnel expenses, promoting fiscal responsibility through process improvements
• Assume responsibility for patient flow processes, strategizing to improve efficiency and eliminate barriers to patient and family-centered care

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program
• BSN with 2 years of clinical experience and demonstrated leadership ability
• Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program, Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) with 2 years of clinical experience, Masters of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred
• 2 years of clinical experience with demonstrated leadership ability
