About This Role

Provide professional nursing care to designated patients, utilizing skilled assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for designated patients
  • Initiate collaboration and communication with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to proactively resolve patient needs
  • Synthesize data, information, and knowledge to make decisions optimizing patient outcomes based on ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality and safety, utilizing evidence-based practice and participating in research projects
  • Use effective and appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication with patients, visitors, and colleagues
  • Coordinate and provide patient and family education to facilitate effective transition of care
  • Function as a department team member to support unit and hospital goals and objectives
  • Perform validated technical skills based upon clinical specialty and unit practice
  • Utilize technology to optimize alternative modes of care delivery
  • Demonstrate leadership and team building skills, including teaching and mentoring new colleagues

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited Nursing program
  • Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice
  • Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care
  • Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty
  • Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies
  • Basic computer skills
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support
  • RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited Nursing program.

  • Bachelor’s Degree Nursing

Certifications

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (Required)
