Registered Nurse

About This Role

This role involves providing direct and indirect patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, developing nursing care plans, and communicating patient condition changes to medical staff. The Registered Nurse will maintain nursing care standards and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the standard of nursing care and implement hospital policies and procedures
• Direct, supervise, provide and evaluate nursing care provided to patients
• Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff scope of practice
• Document patient admission assessment, reassessments, and care plans
• Perform assessments on all patients on admission and reassessments as per policy
• Develop nursing care plan for assigned patients and update as needed
• Assess and reassess pain, utilizing appropriate management techniques and educating patients/families
• Administer medication utilizing the five rights of medication administration
• Formulate teaching plans based on identified learning needs and evaluate effectiveness
• Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and special procedures within scope of practice

Requirements

• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse
• BCLS certification

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
• Minimum six months’ Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Nice to Have

• ACLS certification
• Minimum six months’ Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting
