Registered Nurse - Emergency Department/Princes Bay

About This Role

Perform age-specific patient care using the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate and implement procedures and treatments in an Emergency Department setting in Princes Bay.

Responsibilities

• Perform an age-specific plan of care for designated patients using the nursing process
• Collaborate with physicians and other health team members
• Use leadership skills/clinical judgment in coordinating patient care
• Assess the patient’s physiologic and psychosocial health status
• Identify patient outcomes and formulate a plan of care
• Implement and evaluate the plan of care, ensuring safety precautions
• Administer medications correctly and safely
• Participate in patient and family education
• Provide direction to other members of the care team

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
